About Gyanpatra Foundation
Youth-led change, one community at a time
Gyanpatra Foundation is a non-profit organization that has been working in the fields of Education, Skill Development, Hunger, and Health for over three years. We also organize blood donation camps, provide first aid and rescue support to unclaimed individuals on the streets, and run a range of community welfare drives. The foundation is registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (Reg. No. 065911), and is built by a diverse, grassroots team — most of whom hold a Master's in Social Work (MSW) and are deeply passionate about creating real, on-the-ground impact.
We are a Patna-based organization connected with over 100 partner organizations across Bihar. Our team is also devoted to women in our communities, conducting awareness campaigns in slums and rural areas focused on health, hygiene, and self-reliance.

To integrate people from marginalized and vulnerable sections of society into the mainstream.
Our Goal
Our goal for 2025–2026 is to empower over 500 families mentally, socially, and educationally through our initiatives.

Our objectives
Provide Quality Education
Ensure access to free or affordable education for underprivileged children in slums by establishing learning centres, providing study materials, and conducting awareness programs for parents.
Improve Healthcare Services
Organize regular health camps, vaccination drives, and awareness programs on hygiene, maternal health, and disease prevention to improve the overall well-being of slum dwellers.
Combat Malnutrition and Hunger
Implement food distribution programs, mid-day meal initiatives for children, and nutrition awareness campaigns to reduce hunger and improve the nutritional status of families.
Advocate for Sustainable Development
Conduct skill development and vocational training programs to help individuals become self-sufficient and break the cycle of poverty.
Empower Communities
Work with local authorities and stakeholders to improve sanitation, clean water access, and living conditions in slum areas for long-term community development.

Meet the founders
Ranveer Pratap
Founder & Director
A true leader and passionate social worker, Ranveer Pratap has spent over 5 years working for the betterment of children, women, and communities. A postgraduate in social work, his journey began about six years ago providing free education to economically weaker children living in slum areas of Patna. Through his leadership, he laid the foundation of Gyanpatra Foundation — believing that people are hungry not in their stomachs but in their minds, and that this hunger can only be ended through education.
Subham Kumar
Co-Founder & Director
One of the most honest and dedicated social workers on the team, Subham Kumar's incomparable love for society began by distributing food to poor children alongside his friend and fellow social worker, Ranveer Pratap. A postgraduate in social work, he currently serves as Director of Gyanpatra Foundation.
Gyanpatra Foundation is a remarkable and unique social organization led by youth. Nearly 60% of its members are professional social workers, alongside government officials, businessmen, retired professionals, and guardians who guide the team. The organization has over 300 active members and connections across more than 100 regions of Bihar.
